Jurisdiction to try cases
(1) Despite any other written law and subject to subsection (2), a person charged with the commission of an offence under a tax law may prosecuted in any place in Kenya in which the person may be in custody for the offence as if the offence had been committed in that place, and the offence shall be treated as having been committed in that place.(2) Nothing in subsection (1) shall preclude the prosecution, trial or punishment of a person in any place in which, but for this section, the person might have been prosecuted, tried or punished.
(3) Despite any other written law, an offence under this Act may be tried in the court designated to try offences of corruption or economic crimes.
